Alan,

Superb image, very detailed and the best Schiller that I can remember viewing.  Enlarging the image on screen (control + scroll) shows craterlets that I have never seen before.  Quite a thrill, thanks.

Hi all -

The holiday weekend gave me a chance to finish an image of Schiller
captured during an October 4 session:

This image was prepared with the Alpha version of Astro IIDC 4.0
which continues to evolve into a very powerful platform for planetary
image processing on the Mac platform. Approximately 180 frames were
selected (using separate frame sets for each quadrant of the image)
and stacked using multiple alignment points. The stacks were
sharpened in Astro IIDC with final assembly and processing in Adobe
Photoshop CS3.

Taken with my 10" mak/cassegrain and DMK 41AF02 camera with a green
filter.

best regards,
Alan
