Milton,

That helps immensely! Thank you so much for the info.

Hi Kirk;

You need to set the Saturation Slider to between 28 to 32 (usually

30) and leave it there. The Saturation control will bias the colors

and will result in the grid pattern your seeing.

This is described on pages 53 and 62 of the Astro IIDC manual.

Also , I'm hoping your using an IR blocking filter too as it is

tough to get good color balance for bright targets (i.e. Mars,

Jupiter, the moon etc.) without it.

Hope That Helps ..

I hope it's okay to ask these questions here. I'm a new user of

AstroIIDC and am not sure where else to get information.

I'm having an issue with my OrangeMicro iBot and AstroIIDC. If I use

barely any Red Gain at all (even with saturation set very low),

I end

up with a Red grid pattern on my video as part of the object I'm

shooting (lately Mars). Obviously, reducing the Red gain makes the

object Green. If I take both gains all the way down to zero, my object

is still green. I just can't get realistic color. I'm assuming

this an

issue with my webcam, but am hoping there might be something I

can do

in AstroIIDC to correct it.
