Thanks for your note, Milton. Today's LPOD is a nice follow-up view courtesy of the Lunar Orbiter. In addition to the hike along the rille, I enjoyed a close-up view of the small and relatively fresh shallow crater labeled #5 on the Orbiter image. It shows nicely in the low sun section of my image. You might enjoy the original version which can be seen here:

A friend pointed out an error that I made - despite how nicely "iridium" rolls off the tongue, the correct name for this feature is Sinus Iridum.
