Do you mean you selected "Export Movie..." from the "Processing" menu

and it then ate the movie?

If so, the only way I can see that happening is that you used the

same name as the original movie (which means you received a Warning

dialog that your going to replace the original) and then part way

through the export it either was cancelled or ran out of disk space.

Since it's overwriting the original, any interruption will cause loss

of data. Export is done via Apple's QuickTime code and all we do is

make one call to execute it. How it operates beyond that point is in

Apple's hands.

I think something like that happened.I do mean "Export" from the processing window. I

remembered I`d saved the original stacked and aligned file to my external HD and have

retrieved it. I have quite a bit of space on the Mac HD so lack of disc space is probably not

the reason. Should I alter the name of the new file  (movie) slightly if trying in future or

send it to a different location perhaps? The warning about the "bug" applies if the export is

an AVI file or running at slower than 1 frame per second I understand. I`ll watch what I`m

doing more carefully if trying again!
