Another suggestion might be to make sure and put a blank line between the quote and where you start typing.  White space (spaces & blank lines) is cheap.  Makes it a lot easier to spot where the reply begins.  I also prefer to put my comments at the top, so they come first.  Folks probably remember to what I am referring.  Just my :02 from 18 years of this stuff.

If using quotations from a previous post in front of your reply, shortening it to the relevant section would be much appreciated. It takes too long to find the new content otherwise.
