Hi Milton -
That was quite a night's work - I look forward to seeing the images animated.
Good luck with your saturn session. The jet stream does look favorable for your location. I am headed out of town just in time for opposition 8^( - I hope to return home to some better conditions.
best,
Alan

Hi Folks;
We had clear steady skies here last night for the eclipse. I set up a
Flea 2 1030 x 776 color camera with a cheap second hand 200 mm F4 M42
mount telephoto on the HEQ5 mount and then recorded the entire thing.
I used an Apple script to control Astro IIDC 4, which grabbed a 20
second long movie once per minute and turned out to be about 20
gigabytes of video over the 2.8 hour event.
I batch stacked and auto aligned the 173 movies last night while I
slept and then picked 4 frames from them to make this collage this
morning.

I plan on eventually turning the 173 frames into a 20 to 30 second movie.
