Thanks, I had installed the Bayer 23 and videos play fine in Quick Time. However,

This is discussed in the FAQ section of the web site, read me first

I just recorded a color movie and when I try and play the movie in

QuickTime Player or stack and align it, I get a warning about a codec

being missing and it does not play. Why??

You may not have installed our Bayer Codec to play back or process

the color movies your recorded. Double click on the

"Astro_IIDC_Installer40000.dmg". Now locate the "BayerInstaller"

package on the disk image, double click on it and let it walk you

through the install. No re-start is required after the codec is

installed either.

The same applies for Astro IIDC 1, 2 and 3 too and you need to

install the codec form the .dmg image.

HTH..

PS: And Apple's 3rd Party QuickTime Codec system is a joke.

Making QuickTime videos using IIDC and they play ONLY on the

play well, some say "error."

Appreciate any starting point !  THANKS, Dean

I found that some of my Quicktime movies made with Astro IIDC (both using the

"Export" facility and without) are playing and some are not when transferred on a CD

to my Father`s i-Mac G5. Looking forward to experimenting with the new version 4

of Astro IIDC! Mark G.
