What would be causing the pinkish tinge in my "pink moon" shot when opened in the

Without knowing what settings you used and which version of Astro IIDC this is (3 or 4?) it's hard to say. For example, cranking saturation up will cause very subtle shades to be strongly intensified.

The movie it`s taken from has a light blue tinge (taken at 8 am in

the morning). I`ve been complimented on this effect particularly by female members of the

family! This shot is I think not quite oriented correctly, as I inverted vertically as well as L-R

for  my other scope (a 10 inch reflector) and forgot to change the vertical inversion back for

my 4 inch refractor when taking it. I`m not yet savvy to lunar features so can`t really tell!

There was also an unfortunate blemish on the secondary mirror. Why are my shots with the

10 inch brownish and your`s are blue, Milton?

Umm, I'm not sure what image your talking about of mine that are bluish?

My lunar images generally are more colorful because I use the saturation control to strongly emphasize the faint color differences.

Does this have to do with time of night or can

it be altered with the "Pick Colour" and "Colour Balance" selections?

I just move the Blue and Red sliders around until you get a reasonable color balancing. To my eyes, the moon is sort of a neutral dingy brown when unsaturated.

HTH..
