Dear Emanuele;

As Willy indicated, if you have a camera license then Astro IIDC needs the camera to be connected when it's launched. Once it's launched and has verified the validity of the license(s)  you can close the Camera Controls window and then unplug the camera. As long as you don't Quit Astro IIDC, it will not need to verify the camera again.

And this is explained in the Help document, Read Me First and on the Web page too.

Hope that helps..

I'm pretty new to this also, but have found the camera needs to be connected to work on

anything. No big deal really.  Someone else could explain why ...

I've tried combining images with pretty good success my first try. Here is Saturn. Good luck.

Hi all!!

I'm new here and just purchased AstroIIDC!

A couple of days ago I took a couple of movies of Luna and wanted to process them, but I

found that Stacking is only available when the camera is connected?

Am I missing something or I really have to connect the camera every time?

Thanks!
