Is this by any chance compatible with already implemented function?


It won't with Astro IIDC. For a serial devices, it has to emulate the Meade LX protocol to be compatible with Astro IIDC. That uses a single 5 (8 actual) bit value to control it.


And although I could probably add it in, there are no commercial implementations of that hardware so it becomes a one off. I spend way more time in development and testing (especially testing) than the cost of a GPUSB would be.


Sorry, but it simply isn't going to work.
