Hi Perry,

you may download the whole AVI movie related to the UO trasniting the Luna (one year

ago) in the Lunar section of this yahoo group.

The filename is:

070429-Unidentified-Object.avi

I try pasting the whole link:

UsuNfVC283uNdy3me4-aep_b7aTsau61OQFrcS0CAm_9aLFZr4c/Lunar/070429-

Unidentified-Object.avi

We did a long discussion with meteorologist and a french professional astronomer (who

discovered a Saturn moon) and eventually we agreed for a medium-small sized balloon

flying approx at 20.000 ft.

Unfortunately that movie was shared by UFOlogists community... :-(

googling : alberto mayer UFO

you'll find a lot of references.

About the harp... my english maybe doesn't allow me to fully understand the meaning of

your humour even if i can get a sense...

Alberto,

Do you have pix of the UO transiting La Luna??

Harp flying these days is etherial and doesn't have coordinates.

Sorry.  No Air Traffic Control, either!!

Problem is that new models come out every second!!!

Hi Alan,

i'm already eagerly  waiting!

Please tell me your coordinates when you'll fly with the harp: i

will try to get some image

of you especially if you will transit in front of the Moon (like my

previous filmed

Unidentified Object).

On the other hand you could make a nice trail in some DSO imaging!

See you soon with a fantastic 3D Plato of yours!

Best wishes

Hi Alberto,

Thanks for the interesting project idea.

I am afraid if I ever experienced six hours of good seeing, I will

be

flying with a harp in heaven! But I will keep it in mind should I

encounter such a fine night on earth.

best wishes,

Alan

Hello to all,

i recently added 2 files in the Lunar section.

One of them is an anaglyph to be watched with red/cyan 3D glasses:

Anaglyph-SouthPole 3000x2000.jpg

I'm wondering about doing some anaglyph starting from high-end

quality images like Alan Friedman ones... :-)

Maybe Alan could kindly take a wonderful detail (like the

delicious

Plato or Copernicus i can see on his site ) 3 hours before the

meridian transit and 3 hours after that transit....pleeease!!

I guess  that 6 hours-difference  could be enough to reveal the

internal 3d structures of the craters but i'm not sure of that.

The sine-qua-non condition is to have the very best image quality

and the most similar settings (exposure, contrast etc) for the 2

images.

I attempted to get single craters images but my quality was not

enough even because i found bad seeing in almost one of the 2

shots

(yes you need 6 hours of good seeing).

The other file added is a Moon mosaic grabbed with my C8.

I printed a 70x100 cm poster of it:

080214-The Moon 6353 x 4326.jpg

kind regards to all

Alberto

PS: i did some experiment with DMK on well known DSO (M51) not

guided: really interesting results.
