Subject: Re: Live "streaming"
Thank You Alberto!, no need to demonstrate however. We want to use our DFK camera for
streaming astro events and targets. I'll investigate the software you mentioned.
APPRECIATE your input. Dean

Evocam is a very very nice web-camera streaming software: versatile, stable, with lot of
features. (logos with alpha channel overlay , quicktime animation overlay, time display,
motion detection, etc)
Works nicely (with the appropriate version) on MacOS9 (maybe 8.6) to Leopard
included.
Works fine with DMK too even if you DON't have access to the exposure, gamma, etc.
controls that you have in Astro IIDC (no long exposure).
The input options are merely managed by Mac OS (almost automatic control on
standard
OS panel) but every Firewire, USB or Network camera can be used succesfully.
I have a 24h webcam (Toucam) working at my office but if you want i could put the DMK
working this afternoon (italian afternoon) in order to show it.
Regards
Alberto

We have DFK31AF03. Is it possible to do "streaming" only, over the internet, and not
record?
Thanks, Dean
