Dear Milton, I found this snippet on the following site<http://www.fwdepot.com/wcable.html>

This is a bit confusing as it`s recommending a maximum cable length of 4.5 metres but then says a repeater is needed every 10 metres?? My shielded cable it would appear after measuring it, is 10 metres which is the maximum size sold by Lindy and is described as IEEE 1394 compliant. Mark.
