Subject: Jupiter RGB on July 26, 2008

This photo, one of our best so far,  was taken at 1:30 AM with Jupiter near the meridian (41 

degree elevation). Honk if you think we put too much contrast/sharpening!

The photoshop screenshot shows the 3 monochrome frames produced by Astro IIDC.  66% 

confidence level produced about 180 frames from each 1000 frame/ 30 fps movie taken with 

a CGE 1100 in our back patio in North Miami Beach. In the summer we can get spoiled by the 

good seeing and the short equilibration times needed for large scopes. I was dripping with 

sweat from high humidity, low wind and a 85 degree temperature. Come visit us some 

summer and we'll power up your scope on our patio!
