Hi Graham,

It is easy to forget to select the location of the folder for storing video! Assuming you know where the files are, you just need to navigate to them in the finder, select and drag them to the trash and then empty the trash.

You will want to get some sort of external hard disk to store files from your DMK camera. One choice is the small portable drives that power off the firewire bus on your Mac. These are very convenient to carry around, though they are more expensive per gig than their AC powered desktop cousins. I use both, keeping a large powered drive for archival storage of files, and a small portable to have with me in case I run into a great night. I always record from the camera to the startup disk, creating a folder on the desktop with the date in the name. If you do a lot of imaging in the pre-dawn hours it helps to have a routine to follow... I review the files and transfer them and back them up later when I am fully awake. I try to keep about 30-40 gigs free on my laptop internal drive which is good enough for just about any of my imaging sessions.

hope that helps,

Alan

hello, this may sound like a Doh! question but I never specified the recording site when I
started using my Imaging source camera and Astro II dc software. I have had some good
nights but tonight I realised I was storing the files on the "start up disc" so now it is full up.
How can I delete these? I have tried to drag and drop and it doesn't work.
Thanks
