I certainly understand your concern and share it. I see that the new MacBook Pros still have FW 800 plus USB 2.0. I realize that the FW 800 spec. and ports are different than the original FW spec. but is there any future in IIDC cameras moving to FW 800? Or is USB 2.0 the future?
