Subject: Re: [Astro_IIDC] Bring Back FireWire Petitions

The matte screen is a loss IMO for those looking for an accurate representation for image processing. I don't like the current versions of the glossy screen - will have to look at the new MacBook Pro and the new variation of external monitor to debut later this fall.

I just loaned my old ST-8 camera to a friend getting started with deep sky imaging. I guess SCSI won't be coming back anytime soon!

Hi Folks;

Apple tends to ignore petitions, but maybe it will help.

This one:

http://www.PetitionOnline.com/m4tt3/

wants them to bring back "Matte Screen And Firewires on Macbooks (late
2008)"

And this one:

http://www.PetitionOnline.com/MB1394/

want Apple to bring back "FireWire ports in Apple consumer notebooks"

Still the best thing you can do is send Apple Feedback

http://www.apple.com/feedback/macbook.html

and tell them you won't buy their non FireWire Equipped MacBooks.

Also, don't buy a Mac without FireWire too.

Thanks in advance..
