Good work. I generally shoot at different settings for the prominences and the surface detail - the proms require a much longer exposure. There are many ways/styles that people use to combine the data. The solar forum on Cloudy Nights is a pretty good place to visit.

I'm imaging in Ha! Thanks for directing me to Paul Hyndman's website,
very informative. I realized I had severely overexposed the Sun in
order to accentuate the prominences so I went back and managed to
adjust the levels in the colour image to show more granulation and a
more accurate colour as well.
