Hi Ray, You`re right Chris Go has got it all happening! I`ve marvelled at his images of the planets (particularly Jupiter) with the simplest of cameras. I`ve wondered why he hasn`t felt the need to upgrade to a 31 or 41 series TIS camera but given the results I guess he`s happy. Nice mount, pier, scope & equatorial weather must help! As to Alan, his images are the "cream" of imaging with firewire cameras. Beautiful scope he has! A mono camera might well be on the books for me later in the year. Last night I had a go at imaging the moon again with The Flea 2 but clouds kept scudding across the face of it. I don`t think I got it properly in focus as I was using the Planetary alignment option & it kept skipping out of view.

Hi Mark,

Chris Go is one hell of an imager. He's one of a few who are so

dedicated that they create these amazing feats of imaging excellence.

There is no short-cut to getting these kind of results it's pure

dedication regardless, to a degree, what software and equipment or

even location is in the mix. I think Chris images off an apartment

building roof or balcony (I may be wrong here so don't quote me). We

have our own stalwart in Alan Friedman who's software efforts are

akin to a Chinese torture to most regular human beings but look at

his results.

These guys are just inspiration to the rest of us.

Below is the latest response I got on the camera and the astromart ad

in case anyone else is interested.

I have decided to pass on this camera and keep watching for a used

mono DMK or Flea.

DFK is the one with build-in IR cut filter, the F stands for

filtered.

DBK hasn't got one, the B stands for Bayer.

DMK obviously means monochrome.
