Hi Alan, great Venus.I understand from what Milton`s saying, a mono camera is best for imaging it? It`s always pretty well obscured by one tree or the other in the west here from my observing position! By the way that passenger plane that came down crashing into a house in Buffalo was nowhere near you I take it? When I heard Buffalo I was thinking of you! Mark.

This filter isolates an 8nm bandpass centered at 395nm in the near UV. 

Seeing wasn't very good (it rarely is in this part of the spectrum) - 

some subtle cloud structures can be seen.
