Hi Milton, Yes I realised that when I took it to the processing window! I thought I`d read something you wrote about the natural colour of the moon being "off brown". That`s why I had it set so brown in colour! It`s been some time since I read the Manual & I think I must have played with both the settings on the camera control window & processing one in the meantime?! I can`t try again at present taking pictures as we have rainy weather (forecast for a week or so too!). I have seen the moon several times tonight but interspersed with heavy showers- not safe to get all the gear out! I want to get myself a Telegizmous 365 scope cover so I don`t have to worry about tangled string etc. (I was also looking at an Orion dew zapper as the hair-dryer isn`t consistent enough!) No smoke though & not near the horizon-rising or setting. When shooting in the grey colour you have (off brown you say?!) does the colour then turn up satisfactorily in the processing window? Looks like probably the next cycle of moon `til I can try again. Mark.

Just changed that moon file again this time to reflect "naked eye view"...

That is very very red orange. Were you shooting it as it was near the horizon as it was rising or setting? Or was their a lot of smoke in the air?

If neither of these are true, then you need to work on your Camera color balance settings and adjust the Red and Blue gain sliders to get the Moon more normal colors. You'll never be able to enhance the final colors like I did unless you can get the colors balanced when you take the movies initially.

HTH..
