Hi Milton, Yes I realised that when I took it to the processing window! I thought I`d read something you wrote about the natural colour of the moon being "off brown".

Grayish brown as an average. Just look at the left hand size of the exaggerated Luna color images. THAT is the color I perceive the moon as being and that is what I used. I adjusted the Red and NBlue Camera Control sliders to make it that color initially.

That`s why I had it set so brown in colour!

Yours look very very orange red to me.

It`s been some time since I read the Manual & I think I must have played with both the settings on the camera control window & processing one in the meantime?! I can`t try again at present taking pictures as we have rainy weather (forecast for a week or so too!). I have seen the moon several times tonight but interspersed with heavy showers- not safe to get all the gear out! I want to get myself a Telegizmous 365 scope cover so I don`t have to worry about tangled string etc. (I was also looking at an Orion dew zapper as the hair-dryer isn`t consistent enough!)

My scope sits out side with no overhead protection. I use a Gray Barbeque cover and on the inside a thin plastic clear leaf plastic bag, just in case the BBQ cover ever gets saturated from the rain and snow.

No smoke though & not near the horizon-rising or setting. When shooting in the grey colour you have (off brown you say?!) does the colour then turn up satisfactorily in the processing window? Looks like proba

In those exaggerated Luna color images, the left hand side is EXACTLY the same color as was viewed and captured when recording the initial movies. The ones you show are so out of "whack" color wise that doing the saturation exaggeration will never work, you just get more red orange tones as you increase the saturation.

HTH..
