Hi Mark,

thank you for your comment :-).

They are all done with DMK 31 (1024x768) including M3.

In addition (for M3 only) i took even the RGB channels using the DBK31 (same CCD size).

No help from the Canon EOS.

They were taken with the configuration that you can see in the middle of the home page of my site:

OTA Celestron C8 reducer 3.3 +DMK for the recording guided with the MTO 1000 + DBK in monochrome binned 2x2 mode.

I launched 2 separate Astro IIDC applications using 2 cameras attached to the 2 firewire ports on my G4 laptop (firewire 400 + firewire 800)

The scopes are mounted on a wood plate. The MTO 1000 is placed on a micrometric XP3 support (pretty weak for the heavy MTO1000).

I guess i have some flexure but for the exposure i'm using (the longest time i used is 90 seconds) i can survive waiting for a better arrangement.

It's only few months that i began the autoguiding with my Autostar 497 on my GPDX mount.

Tonight I tested  the Skywatcher 80ED with the 0.8 focal reducer + DMK  (the OTA configuration at the right side of my home page) trying a quick and dirty M42 while it was very low on the horizon (20°), then i did M65+M66 at once (they fit into the field of view of the 80ED) and currently (it's 3.30AM) i'm grabbing M3 again in order to see the difference between the refractor @ focal 480mm  Vs. the C8@ focal 660mm.

In addition for the whole session placed a Baader Neodymium filter to test if it is good for the city lights.

Tomorrow i hope to process the movies recorded tonight but now i attach a first quick process  about M42.

It's 4.00 am and i must pack all the scopes, cameras etc....yesterday i went to bed at 5.20 tomorrow i'll wake up at 8.30. :-(((

I guess i'll have a sleepy day helped by that world economic crisis (my factory is stopped because of no work!).

The positive side is that probably i will sleep a wink instead of working.

TTYL

Alberto

They`re beauties Alberto. Are they really all with DMK cameras with
the exception of the chroma taken with the DBK, (if so what series 21,
31 or 41?) or with some help from your DSLR? Are they guided with the
piggy backed scope on your website? Mark.
