Hi Milton, Glad you`ve finally had some relief from the all the snow!
It rained and hailed today, but at least the wind has stopped.
I`ve reverted with my latest images (later converted to mosaics) to
snapshotting the stacked, aligned image preview window & not using the
blended MAP images which I think give a lesser resolution result. I
probably haven`t correctly mastered the art of selection areas which I
understand from the Manual is quite an art? Mark.
MAP will not turn a poorly focussed or blurry turbulent movie into something. It's basically GIGO (Garbage In, Garbage Out). If the image is soft then there are no hard edges to lock onto and it will not align well.
Area selection isn't that mysterious. Version 4.03 now shows the pixel variance of the feature your selecting. Generally speaking if the variance is less than 10 then delete or move that pixel area.
And big white or black areas have no details so you want either lots of edges or unique features to lock onto.
HTH..
