Subject: Re: [Astro_IIDC] Jupiter again!

Hi Jim,

I was out about 3/4 hour after that in my dressing gown and slippers. I quite often get awoken by first light and I've just got an observatory recently so everything is set-up ready to go. I went down into the garden and could see the Moon with my eyes but not Jupiter. I've now got a GOTO mount so I asked it to find Jupiter and bang there it was in the EP. I'm all set-up to image so I had a go. The sun hadn't risen above the horizon but the sky was blue rather than blackish, but I had a go at an image although because of the seeing (very poor) I didn't amplify the image just prime focus on my C9.25. Not great by any stretch of the imagination but I could compare it with yours and see similar features which is always pleasing. I'm 51 degrees North I bet your a bit further than that so well done on a great image and it was great to compare.
