Hi Folks;

Not an Astro shot, but my Venus Flytrap bloomed while I was moving this week. All my FireWire camera gear was packed away so my shots of the first flower bloom were taken with a Sony 3.2 mega pixel camera which did not turn out all that great. It can't zoom in close and the flower is only 10 mm across.

The second and final flower bloomed on June 17th and June 18th I finally unpacked the box with the Flea 2 Color camera, the 50 mm F1.8 Pentax M42 SLR lens, the ring extenders and my tripod. So I took some close up shots of the flower and posted one at:

I also took a shot of a trap that is digesting an ant at:

You can see two antenna of the ant's head there. That trap is about 7 mm long.

These were taken with a cheap second hand 50 mm F1.8 SLR lens on a tripod mounted Flea 2 color camera. I built my own C-Mount to M42 adapter too.

PS: Weather her is awful for the past few weeks with clear skies in the morning, but overcast or thunder head each afternoon and then cloudy at night.

TTYL..
