I seem to remember there was some suggestion that payment was necessary somewhere along the line which I didn`t bother with!

Hi Milton & Alberto,

It appears I only have Version 2.2 of the DivX codec on my G4 Mac

Mini & Alberto`s movie won`t play. I don`t know exactly what happened

as I thought I was upgrading as DivX did. I do know I tried to play

Alberto`s UFO movie a while ago & found it was in DivX Version 7 form

so I wasn`t able. Unless my one has reverted to this early version?

Hi Alberto;

Very nice sequence, thanks for sharing.

On a side note, Quicktime (either browser plugin or Apple QuickTime

Player) won't play it on my desktop PowerPC Macs under 10.4.11 with

QT 6.4.2. I had an earlier version of the DIVX decoder component.

The DIVX player and VLC player do play it fine.

On my G4 Laptop, it plays fine (10.4.11 / QT 6.4.2) in both browser

plugin and with QT Player, but I had version 6.4.0 of the DIVX codec

installed.

Looking at the avi header of the file, it's using divx 50 codec for

the video.

Version 7 of the DIVX codec is Intel only too.

TTYL..
