Hi Milton & others,

Has anybody else seen any pictures of the impact site on Jupiter?

See the abundance of photos and some animations at:

(scroll down belwo the jupiter image).

It's been imaged by quite a few people - origin is still unknown.

I was hoping to see if Christopher Go has for images of it:

http://jupiter.cstoneind.com/

but he hasn't updates his site since July 11.

Interestingly enough his image of July 11 shows no dark spot at the correct location.

There`s been a picture posted this morning on the Sky Tools site by a

guy from Brisbane but I don`t know if I have the right to send it on?!

I tried setting up last night but had a woeful time polar aligning. As

much as the new "All Star" alignment routine is quite easy I`d

forgotten how to do it properly. I guess I should have progressed from

the 3 star to some shots of Jupiter but I wasn`t aware it was visible

from this region of the world!

If you can see Jupiter, you can see the blotch regardless of where you are on earth. Well, unless your above 75° N latitude as Jupiter never rises above the horizon.
