Subject: Re: [Astro_IIDC] Jupiter 07 August/ GRS transit and impact scar
I am learning how to take images of Jupiter and I suspect a big factor is waiting for the scope to cool and imaging during the period of the night when the seeing is at its best. I have a 14" LX200R, the DMK21, Televue 2.5X and a desire to take nice pictures of the planets.

Hi Terry,
I use a 10" mak/cassegrain at f30, DMK camera controlled by Astro IIDC and Photoshop. This is a quickly processed stack of about 200 frames through a red filter - image size is reduced. Color images and more detail to follow.
thanks,
Alan

Alan, very nice indeed.
Can you tell us about your setup and any processing that might have been applied? Are we looking at just the red channel of data? How many images, etc..
