I found a bug late yesterday in Astro IIDC 4.05.00 under those conditions that generates what you described (white screen). I have it fixed and will release 4.05.01 later today.

Detecting what speed the camera and the Mac FireWire ports are operating at is a tricky thing. If I get it wrong either the camera runs at a slower rate than it should be (which means you can't get say 240 to 400 fps out) or the camera is set to FW 800 speeds on a FW 400 cable and then no video comes out.

I'll let you know when it's up.

PS:
Your jupiter looks much too dark for my calibrated monitors. You might want to use the "Show Saturated" check box next time so that you tell when your getting the maximum range out of the CCD. See pages 82 and 83 of the Astro IIDc manual for an explanation.
