Thank you Alan and Milton...

I hoped to be able to keep a bigger size but it was noisy and a bit spoiled by the "microseeing" that "doubled" all the contrasted details.

So i had to de-double each image  and create an alpha channel in order to denoise the flat areas separately from the mountains areas.

In addition the difference in brightness between the left and right margin was huge so i had to compensate it.

LPOD? I lost the hopes with Chuck. LOL

I originally decided not to submit it to LPOD but  now I accepted your suggestion and I sent it to Chuck one minute ago ;-)

I must decide for bigger hard disk otherwise i'm frightened to fill it so i capture relatively few frames while for the moon there are no important rotation issues.

I noticed that before getting the System Error of disk nearly full i got 5 or 6 movies pretty small.

Example: the area around Plato was recorded with short movies (50-60 frames instead of 550) because i was fulling the disk.

No errors were displayed while recording those short movies.

The same problem repeated yesterday.

Well now i'll hope that Chuck could have some nostalgy of the NORTH...

Thank you and  talk to you soon.

Alberto

PS: i already "not" commented  the 6 years of Saturn (no comment = all the possible positive comments).

Now I repeat all of  them for the APOD publishing.

A little note: I didn't find it by myself. I had a friend at my side that was exploring APOD so he callem me saying "Look there what a nice sequence of Saturn"...

I gave an eye and i  answered "Oh yes, i know that fantastic image . It is from Alan a friend of our AIIDC group   ;-)

(I acted   like a real  SNOB person  showing that i was already pleased to see that beautiful  image before the APOD users!!)

I second that.

Stunning Image Alberto.

If you have not done so, please submit this image to LPOD:

I would love to see what Chuck Wood has to say about, as good clean
images of the North Pole area are severely lacking.

Thanks for sharing..
