You don't need QT Pro if you already have Astro IIDC.

Just choose "Export Movie" under the Astro IIDC "Processing" Menu.

That's the exact same options and interface you get with QT Pro, except it didn't cost you an extra $30 USD.

Here is how you export a QuickTime movie to an uncompressed AVI (same interface for Astro IIDC or Apple Movie Player):

1) Choose "Export Movie" from the "Processing" menu

2) Select the Movie to Convert (not shown).

3) When the "Save exported file as" window appears, select "Movie to Avi" form the "Export" menu.

4) Click on the "Options" Button, which brings up  the "AVI Settings" window (upper right).

5) Click on "Settings" button in the "AVI Settings" window, which brings up the "Compression Settings" window (bottom frontmost).

6) Set up the "Compression Settings" window as I have it shown below.

7) Click "OK" on all the buttons until your back to "Save exported file as",  then change the file name as appropriate and click "Save".

Now there are known bugs in Apples exporting code for this when using "Best Frames Per Second", which I describe on pages 49 and 50 of the Astro IIDC manual (read section for Apple Bug report ##4157915).). I think it's fixed, but who knows for sure as Apple seems to re-break thing with each new release.
