Subject: iBook HD...

Hi Milton, Perry & everybody,

I`ve got my new 250 GB Western Digital HD for the iBook & have had it in & out several times but am getting a flashing question mark upon reconstruction. I`ve just put the original 30 GB HD back in & it`s starting immediately! There`s either something stuck in the CD/DVD player of the iBook or it`s busted, (there does appear to be something round in there) which won`t eject (either holding down the eject button or re-starting holding down the track pad). So I can`t load anything into the computer through it`s optical drive & my Lacie FW DL CD/DVD burner isn`t registering on the iBook with the new HD. I`m not even getting a cursor, last time I had it in there! My older Lacie 250 GB external HD dosen`t have matching pins for the Western digital HD upon dismantling it & the new 500 GB Lacie has a plastic case which trying to force open seems to be giving in an (about to crack!) fashion. At any rate I`m backing up the 30GB drive to this new Lacie external HD using time machine though how I retrieve it for use on the new iBook HD I don`t know!? I guess I could dismantle again including the iBooks optical drive to see if anything is in fact in there-or wait perhaps `til my brother arrives with an appropriate enclosure for the cloning process...Any suggestions would be welcome..!
