Subject: cloning the old HD to the new one

Ended up connecting the Mac Mini G4 to the iBook by firewire & pressing T on start-up (advice I got on the iFixit forum) to use the new HD as a target. Then with the Lacie external HD linked to the Mini by usb, the info (basically the iBook`s old 30 GB HD) created from Terry`s CCC app was showing up as source. Then it was a matter of choosing the new 250 GB HD (by way of Disk Utility) as target on CCC & loading  on the 30 GB`s info to it. I got a little more than I bargained for loading up from the Lacie & have 150 GB left on my new iBook HD. One thing was that I`ve put the 1st installation DVD for the iBook into it`s optical drive & now it`s stuck in there as the drive isn`t operating?!
