Have you been able to try re-loading the firmware for yours as Milton suggested? Mine was bought new & came with a PGR software, Software Development Kits and Device Drivers CD. I don`t know if this software is obtainable from PGR`s site; www.ptgrey.com

I think mine is definitely bringing down the FW bus, so if that is the case I will return it as a HW malfunction.
