Have you been able to try re-loading the firmware for yours as Milton  

suggested? Mine was bought new & came with a PGR software, Software  

Development Kits and Device Drivers CD. I don`t know if this software  

is obtainable from PGR`s site; www.ptgrey.com

It is dead ...

Yes I can access the website and download software, even the firmware ...

but if the device is not registering with the FW bus you can't do anything.
