Hi Ray,

Thanks for your praise this time! I basically altered the Sharpen Frames box in Stack & Align to "Light" where it was "None". The problem was that I have a new version of Astro IIDC on my recently acquired iBook I`ve been using to S & A & had altered all the parameters except this one to recommendations made by Milton for Lunar processing..I can never predict when I`ll get out to image-often it`s a matter of the weather, sometimes other things but often it`s not at the optimal times during the lunar cycle..I notice that Howard Fink is using a much smaller scope than mine & perhaps didn`t have the turbulence I had to cope with. At any rate I`ve found that turning the ROI on the Scorpion up to maximum isn`t quite as practical for a C9.25 as it was for him- especially with a 12" screen! ( So Howard if you`re reading this that`s my answer to that suggestion!) For something like M 42 it would be a different matter-I estimate I`d need 1628 x 1236 pixels + f 3.3 reduction or I`ll miss most of it.(Vignetting aside..) A mosaic is possible but a bit beyond my expertise with guiding I think!

Hi Mark,

That's a significant improvement on earlier stuff you've posted. Quite nice contrast going on there which is never easy on the moon. Earlier phases normally show more that the moon close to full. Keep it up Mark.
