Hi Milton,

Amazon were selling a power adapter for the Firerepeater 400 at the time I bought it from them (don`t know if they still have them but the device has an input for external power) I can`t afford it at present, however-looks like my purchase of the filter wheel is in peril too until the 6th January...I`ll send that shot of the spot on the Flea 2 again when you`re back to normal internet speed..As for looking up past messages from you I often find the subjects of the messages are carried over from previous enquiries & this makes it difficult to find them (which I usually do by going through ALL the messages with your name on them one by one & manually, sometimes confined by a date period) Yahoo searching I haven`t tried but maybe it`s encountering the same problem I am doing it manually..? I can`t at present think of any parameters for the search you`re suggesting but will perhaps try later..

It has NOTHING to do with the FireWire 400 / 800 cable. The iBook powers the Cameras and The Hub. As I said previously, as long as you have power coming from the iBook it will not draw power from the Hub with it's AC/DC adapter. That is how you fix your problem.

If you stopped and read the messages I posted on here, you'd realize that I already told you what you need to do to power both cameras off the Hub instead of off the iBook.

And No I don't recall what message it was and Yahoo has crippled searching in the Groups with their incompetence. You'll have to step through the messages to find it. I may switch to Google groups in the the new year as I (and others) extremely tired of writing up big explanations and discussions on things and Yahoo not being able to find them.

Lastly, I'm out at the lake "supposedly" on christmas vacation and only have sporadic dial-up up 1 kilobyte per second. So sending me 500+ kilobytes files winds up in me just deleting them.
