Subject: NGC 891 Edge On Galaxy

Hi folks;

I finally got a few hours one night (with thin clouds at -28°C) for RGB and then a clearer night (at -29.8°C) for the Luma to capture NGC 891. With wind chill, it was well below -35°C each night.

Details on the image are embedded at the bottom. I managed to pick up a few faint background galaxies too. The first quarter moon for the Luma raised the sky background to 13300 for the 20 minute Luma exposures, which tends to hide fainter details.

I've captured 2 frames of M81 luma so far through the clouds, but don't know if I'll be able to image anything more. It's cloudy snowy well with below normal temp weather and nearly a full moon, which makes it difficult.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and will have a safe New Years.
