No I didn't. I have doubts if it would work.

Hi Milton,

By the way were you able to do anything with the heated cables? I

think the guy with this idea was on the Macastronomer group..?

Mark.

Hi willie and Mark;

Thanks for the correction..

I tried the link before I posted it, but accidentally deleted the

"s" in "files" after I pasted it into the message. The correct link

is:

Fantastic, Milton. I love that object.

The link didnt work for me either. I went to the group and it

asked me if I wanted to join. I logged out, logged in again, jumped

through some Yahoo hoops and went back to the group successfully.

That is the link that worked for me. I doubt it will work for

anyone else. I dont know why Yahoo makes these things so complicated.

I finally got a few hours one night (with thin clouds at -28°C)

for RGB and then a clearer night (at -29.8°C) for the Luma to

capture NGC 891. With wind chill, it was well below -35°C each night.

Details on the image are embedded at the bottom. I managed to

pick up a few faint background galaxies too. The first quarter moon

for the Luma raised the sky background to 13300 for the 20 minute

Luma exposures, which tends to hide fainter details.

I've captured 2 frames of M81 luma so far through the clouds,

but don't know if I'll be able to image anything more. It's cloudy

snowy well with below normal temp weather and nearly a full moon,

which makes it difficult.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and will have a safe New Years.
