Dear Wolfgang;

You only need the GPIO connector for long exposure control.

I have already indicated the pin outs and how to connect up two of the pins with a thin piece of wire on this list. It was posted on October 2, 2009 with the title "Re: Scorpion experiences" , however USELESS Yahoo can't find that message at all. I keep copies of all these messages now in my e-mail because of how incompetent and useless Yahoo is.

HTH..

PS to everyone:

I am going to investigate switching to Google Groups this month. I'm fed up with no search ability and management with Yahoo Groups. If Google proves to be reliable, I'll shut down this Yahoo List and you'll all have to transfer over to it.

Hello owners of a PGR Scorpion,

A friend and myself just bought 2 Scorpions offered on eBay.

Unfortunately those cameras are delivered  without documentation and accessories.

However, checking PGR's website, the question came up whether the GPIO connector on the back of the camera  must be used in order to operate it under Astro IIDC.

Any advice most appreciated.

Thanks
