Hi Milton,
On the Home page is a run down of the other features. The old version had geological maps which you`d be right into I expect! I haven`t checked the new version. There was even a thing where you could fly around the moon like you were in a space craft, on the old version..

Hi Mark;
No I wasn't aware that it had been ported. Thanks for pointing it out.
Just to clarify, it's Intel Mac only and Tiger (10.4.x) or Higher.
I still prefer the paper Rukl Atlas of the Moon version when identifying things. Guess I'm old fashioned..

PS:
On a side note, I have the Google Astro_IIDC group set up at:
http://groups.google.ca/group/Astro_IIDC?hl=en
Please don't join the group and expect it to be around, it's still an experiment. I plan on uploading a bunch of message content from Yahoo and my archived e-mails hopefully this weekend to see how well the search engine works. Yahoo's searching is permanently destroyed and the same old tired message from May 2009 is there that "Yahoo is working on fixing the problem".

Was everybody aware the latest version of this excellent program is
now available for Mac?

I`ve been using the older version of it on my PC for quite a while..!
The best results are to be had if you go to Configuration in the Menu
Bar once the initial download is complete, select Texture & check for
optional features & then download them. Once that`s done select
Clementine Photographic zoom levels 1-3 & 3-8, turn the zoom dial in
the menu bar right up & say type your favourite crater or feature into
the search box on the right & Find. This time of the month go to
display & untick Show the phase & show the libration & voila you have
an excellent High definition map of the moon...!
