Subject: focusing...

Hi Milton,

I`m just checking as I had some trouble bringing my Scorpion into focus on stars last time I tried. This was probably as much to do with occasionally losing the connection to the camera (hence black screen when trying to focus on a basically black field)! On the 12" wide sign on the shipping container about 50 metres away in our yard, bringing the camera into focus is a few turns of the focus knob to the left from where it`s positioned after bringing my 25mm eyepiece into focus. Would the same rule apply (turning to the left) with stars only more turns of the knob. I`ve never actually made a note of what I`m doing usually. It just seems to come naturally! Also with the camera centred on the sign the finder cross hairs appear to be above the sign in reality but below it when looking through the finder, even though the finder & eyepiece were lined up OK..I`ve noticed this discrepancy with the camera`s position particularly when trying to get a planet on the chip.

Mark.
