Dear Graefe;

Actually I forgot that this should work already in Astro IIDC.

First you need use the Finder to make "Aperture" the default application for opening a particular file type (like PNG or tiff or jpeg etc.), as described here:

http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/2573/os_x_how_to_change_default_application_to_open_file_type/

After that, you need to change the Astro IIDC preferences so that it tells the default app to open the file. That's described on page 70 of the Astro IIDC manual, which I'm quoting below:

Start Quote on Page 70:

The "After Saving a Frame, open it with the default application." check box controls if the image you just saved is opened automatically or not. If it's check marked, then the default application for  that type of file will be told to open the file and display it.

End Quote. Also make sure that Astro IIDC is saving that file type by default when it grabs a frame too, as described on page 69 for the ""When grabbing frames, save files in:" pop up menu.

That should do it.

HTH..

Is there a way to make Astro IIDC automatically export grabbed frames into Apple Aperture?
