Hi Antonio, I was wondering if you had some sort of motorised setting circles even though you have no Go-To mount..apparently not! I've heard Uncle Rod Mollise controls his Dobsonian using setting circles & the Sky Voyager app which I also have on my iPod Touch...just a thought!

pointing Mars at magnitude -1 through a finder is quite straightforward, not so for an 8th magnitude star. Anyway Milton suggests to find the brightest G2V above 45° altitude, which seems definitely more practical even without goto capability. (well, it depends on the Moon phase, actually!)
