Subject: IR filter for solar imaging

Hi all,

I have a quick question about the use of an IR filter.

I am using a Lunt LSHa60t scope with a TIS DMK 2104.AS camera. I have not been using any other filters in the path. My feeling is the Ha scope is narrow band and excludes the IR as well. 

I have a 1 1/4 in IR cut filter I can use for other setups. I suspect given my present solar scope I will be better off with less glass in the imaging path. True or not?
