Hi Milton,

Good luck imaging the event and thank you for the information.

Cheers

Hi Brian;

Nice first image.

Alan Friedman or Jim Chung or Alberto can likely offer some insight to colorizing with PhotoShop.

I just use Astro IIDC for image processing.

Also, my friend Sandy Bumgarner sent me a note about the track (Orbit 222) of the Space Shuttle re-entry tomorrow morning. It's a rare northern track which extends from South Western Canada down to Florida. NASA has a Java tool on this web site (select KSC222 (ENTRY)) as your object):

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/shuttle/shuttlemissions/sts131/news/131_landing_webfeature.html

that indicates if you can see it from your location, it's azimuth and altitude and timing too.

The general track of it is shown here:

http://spaceweather.com/

I lucked out and it will be 22° above the horizon at 6:26 am MDT time from Calgary. CSK indicates it should be clear but with higher altitude  haze. It's really moving then and will cover 110° Azimuth in 60 seconds, so tracking it is going to be tough as it's traversing almost 2 degrees per second. I'll likely shoot it using a 50mm lense on a Color Flea2 or Grasshopper camera and Astro IIDC.

TTYL..

Hi Group,

After a long wait I finally received my new h-alpha scope.

I still have a lot to learn but here is my first light h-alpha solar image - captured with PGR Scorpion and AstroII_DC

Is there a recommended workflow for colorization in PS that someone could please refer me to?
