Hi Milton,

i was writing you a quick response 2 days ago but i didn't send it...lol

Many thanks for the nice implementations!

Yesterday i did a little Saturn but perhaps i was thinking something else so... i remembered the ROI only after i packed the scope (i'm aging).

If tonight we'll have clear sky i surely will test it.

On the other side i tested very quickly the different settings for the "ridicolous focal" sharpness estimation (25 meters).

Two tests seems positive but i will prefer to try it thoroughly.

I don't know why but that "ridicolous focal" make me feel a bit "touchè!" isn't it? ROFL

Yesterday  (after a Moon starving lasted one year) i got crazy attempting the biggest mosaic that i ever did.

If the after processing quality will be enough good (meaning no need to scale down)  it will be 150 megapixels (9400 x 16.000 pixels).

For that reason evaluated the sharpness of 176 movies done with 7 meters of focal length setting "medium" area for sharpness estimation. Could it be good? Perhaps the seeing was very good but i noticed a good  frame choice. This is a preview done with a single unprocessed frame.

You'll note the horizontal banding due to an uneven flat field (grrrr!!!! ) that i did on the fly  because i had 3 dust spot on the sensor.

Anyway it seems good even if unfortunately when i was half way it started a nasty wind moving my 15Kg scope + counterweights on a poor GPDX and the seeing got a little worse too. This is a sample of a middle-way frame:

I mis-aligned the azimuth properly in order to get a perfectly still Moon without DEC shifting.

The almost perfect horizontal and parallel strips confirm the correct (mis) alignment.

Anyway this release is very very interesting for the de-rotation too even if i love the ROI and the Sharpness.

I think that for a very reliable response i should use it on many kind of movies.

Report About TIS Diagonal pattern:

By the way... after a very long training that i did to TIS technicians (before i learned by myself how to get the pattern with Windows too) they were able to get the diagonal pattern on my old camera.

For two or three attempts they answered that they weren't able to get the pattern and they told me that the cause was or a defect of Apple firewire power supply or radio interference at my house.

Well, after they got the pattern following my precise instruction they eventually answered that it is a problem with NO solution since they should redesign all the analog part of the cameras and that would need years and the result wouldn't be sure.

They suggested to keep the brightness at lower level...

So please take note you too and anyone is afflict by that

Hi Folks;

It's been a few days since I posted the A1 release.

I was wondering if anyone had any issues to report, especially on the Software ROI on TIS cameras which everyone has been asking for over the past year or so?

I'm hoping to release A2 likely on Friday, so I would appreciate knowing about bugs / issues you encounter sooner than later.

Regards..
