Subject: Ha - White light comparo

Hi Guys,

Just a last fiddle with the images I took today. The white light image of a very small sunspot was difficult due to focussing problems (the tube I mentioned before) and seeing in the broader band used. I used a Herschel Wedge on the 80mm scope with an additional Baader Solar Continuum filter plus a 1.6x amplifier. The white light image was also poor because the Sun had moved over the roof of my house which had scaldingly hot tiles on it which also hampered the seeing no doubt.
