I don't have Diskwarrior, but I did back everything up and reformat the drive.  It just wasn't going to work, apparently.


This will be my third internal hard drive.  I hope it isn't a trend...

When I encounter such problems I run DiskWarrior (from an external drive). It often enables me to copy data off the bad drive after which I can reformat, or toss it when the disk is indeed physically damaged.
